Savage won CAL S10 round 1 versus Balance Point for a final score of 20-4 on cpl_strike. Savage started out on CT side, winning the half with a solid 8-4. Things got heated up for the second half on T were several rounds where we had one player left who went on to clutch it. In fact, everyone who played the match had a clutch round. Terrorist side was a shutout 12-0. Balance Point we a good clan too. The came prepared to give us a challenge and our spectacular defeat shows how much harder we worked and wanted the win. Excellent job by Nyx, Blade, Laserpope, Fatal1, and Ty for playing the match and smashing face. A very big thank you to Micro, Ryze, Shaman, Camalot, StirCrazy, and our old friend Talog for helping prep our guys for the match. A future thank you to Stirfried, and Rifiki for organizing scrims versus good teams.
I am very excited for the coming season. If we put in our dues, practice hard and be 100% dedicated then we will make IM for sure. I appreciate the level of commitment I am seeing from all our members. Everyone impressed me today and everyone needs to keep the level of focus to what we saw.
What difference a little bit of time and organization makes. Savage took a win on Monday night on de_train with a final score of 18-6 bringing our record to 2-1. Savage started out on T side and executed effective strategies that forced Team Jinxed! to rotate too quickly and thus be flanked easily. Finishing the half at 9-3, Savage showed the ability to focus on the prize. We only dropped one round where we should have won. Starting out on CT side everyone played their positions, made good calls and rotated effectively to win the side out again 9-3.
The dedication the Blade, LaserPope, and Fatal1 have shown to Savage is nothing short of astounding. I am very very please at our continued progress and will continue to work on my end to keep everything going smoothly. Please thank Laserpope for playing sick, Blade for leaving class early, Fatal1 for leaving work early (and not eating), Talog for stepping it up, and Hollywood for not sucking too bad.
